Environmentally Conscious Bird Control
Bell Bird Control thinks and acts with the environment in mind
Bell Bird Control is committed to providing environmentally sound solutions. Through careful strategic planning and product development, we are able to solve your Pigeon, Sparrow, Starling, and Gull problems without endangering the environment. Our bird control solutions are implemented with the same priorities and values held by our parent company Bell Environmental Services, which has been “Green for over 30 years.”
Many companies say they are green. But what does that really mean? In our case, it means using innovative bird control products that do not harm the environment.
Our exclusive BellStrip™ bird deterrent system qualifies architectural projects for up to 6 LEED points based on the following criteria:
-
Recycled Materials — Upon request we use post-undustrial use recycled plastic for the base material in our BellStrip electric track bird deterrent system.
-
Regional Materials — BellStrip is made locally and falls within the 500 mile range necessary to qualify on most of our jobs. This reduces the carbon footprint in the transportation from factory to final installation site.
-
Solar Powered — If ample sunlight is available at the installation location, we power our system entirely from a solar energizer that contains a rechargeable lithium ion battery backup.
Being Green also means taking extra measures to prevent any unintended consequences while performing service. Traps set for pest birds contain an ample supply of food and water for any caught birds to comfortably survive until our technicians come to release them outside.
Goose control is performed using Flight Control® PLUS, which is approved for use on turf and grass because it has no effects on streams or water from its runoff. And our OvoControl® programs reduce the size of Pigeon flocks over time and offer a humane alternative to the poisons other bird control companies commonly use.
Extra effort and innovative techniques are required to get the job done right, and get it done in an environmentally friendly way.
